Uneventful but interesting start to a series。 The concept has a a lot of potential for unique scenarios and character interaction。 With a few exceptions, most of the characters introduced in this book are interesting and have good development for a light novel。

I initially planned to skip to where the anime ended, but I was really glad I decided to start right from the very top。The light novel was entertaining to read and we get to see a different Ayanokouji from the one portrayed in the anime。 The story is intriguing and kept me captivated for the most part。I am definitely looking forward to the rest of the volumes。

I never expected this quality of writing, but I didn't particularly had low expectations whatsoever。 Diving into this, I was given the notion that this would tackle things that I could solely relate to, mainly education-wise and this really hit me too close to home。 Discussions and questions regarding equality and how it is a fake concept provokes so many thoughts out of me, I am genuinely surprised。 I didn't expect to be heavily seen and represented by Suzune and Kiyotaka's personalities and wa I never expected this quality of writing, but I didn't particularly had low expectations whatsoever。 Diving into this, I was given the notion that this would tackle things that I could solely relate to, mainly education-wise and this really hit me too close to home。 Discussions and questions regarding equality and how it is a fake concept provokes so many thoughts out of me, I am genuinely surprised。 I didn't expect to be heavily seen and represented by Suzune and Kiyotaka's personalities and way of thinking。 I do have some light qualms regarding very subtle things, and by very subtle I truly mean it because I can't even remember what I saw quite disagreeable as I am typing this。 Overall, this was an engaging and fun read and would recommend this over the anime for the cut parts that I personally think are vital contents for the next volumes。 。。。more

One of the best light novels。

The rating could have been higher if the first 200 pages are not that dragging and feel like a fan service

This was strangely addicting。 I love reading about unlikeable characters, and most of them are more or less dicks。

If anyone decided to read the novel because the anime had a halt。 Please read everything from the start。 It has so much more detail compared to the anime。 Ayanokoji kun's personality is so much more emphasized and written with detail。 Amazing。 If anyone decided to read the novel because the anime had a halt。 Please read everything from the start。 It has so much more detail compared to the anime。 Ayanokoji kun's personality is so much more emphasized and written with detail。 Amazing。 。。。more

This is my first time reading a book like this one。 Let's just say I found new kind of books to read。。 My wallet is not going to be happy ;)I really loved the private school setting which is different from what you'd expect。 Certainly when you see how things are done。 This is my first time reading a book like this one。 Let's just say I found new kind of books to read。。 My wallet is not going to be happy ;)I really loved the private school setting which is different from what you'd expect。 Certainly when you see how things are done。 。。。more

There are a lot of LNs with a similar premise to Classroom of the Elite, powerful, smart and mysterious student attending a strange high-school, but what in my opinion makes this one special is how much the MC, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka, values and struggles through the normal highschool experiences。 In my eyes that makes him a far more interesting and tolerable character than is common in this genre and offsets his other talents nicely。

So back in the depths of hell, or as we called it back then, quarantine, I had a good friend recommend me some Light Novels。 I wanted to broaden my horizons。 Also I was tired of reading overly convoluted, 700 page books with just 200 pages of actual story。 Thank you again Robert Jordan and Wheel of Time。 So I was recommended 2 such books。 One was called Eighty-Six and the other was this。 As you can see by the start and finish date, i kindof struggled through it XD。 But the ending to this intrigu So back in the depths of hell, or as we called it back then, quarantine, I had a good friend recommend me some Light Novels。 I wanted to broaden my horizons。 Also I was tired of reading overly convoluted, 700 page books with just 200 pages of actual story。 Thank you again Robert Jordan and Wheel of Time。 So I was recommended 2 such books。 One was called Eighty-Six and the other was this。 As you can see by the start and finish date, i kindof struggled through it XD。 But the ending to this intrigued me。 I was told it gets better with every novel so i will continue it and see for myself。 Hope it doesn’t take another 8 months, though。 The 3 stars isn’t mainly because nothing really happens。 It doesn’t hit you with anything truly interesting until the last chapter really。 But there was never a real bad moment in the book。 Maybe the over abundance of good looking female students got weird at some point, but the MC made up for it in the end。 。。。more

Content warning: sexual harassment of male and female students/assaultWhile I had some definite issues with this novel it ended up being surprisingly compelling all the same。 It starts out seeming like an ordinary student life story at a prestigious school。 However, there are hints here and there that something is off。 It’s not until the middle of the book that the truth behind what’s going on at the school is revealed。 This book is surprisingly compelling for me because none of the characters a Content warning: sexual harassment of male and female students/assaultWhile I had some definite issues with this novel it ended up being surprisingly compelling all the same。 It starts out seeming like an ordinary student life story at a prestigious school。 However, there are hints here and there that something is off。 It’s not until the middle of the book that the truth behind what’s going on at the school is revealed。 This book is surprisingly compelling for me because none of the characters are particularly likable。 Perhaps intentionally so from a writing standpoint。 Horikita especially makes it a point to stay away from others and push them away。 Ayanokouji has relatable friendship issues but overall his goal is not to standout or make waves。 The “nice students” are either lying or don’t get enough page time to see any depth to them。 Even so I found myself curious to see what would happen next and how this misfit class would find its way to work together once the reality of the school set in。 One thing I would make readers aware of is the sexual harassment in the book。 For the most part it felt either pointless to the story or like unwanted fanservice。 The boys making bets on the girls breast sizes and fantasizing about them after seeing them in their swimsuits。 Even Ayanokouji despite entertaining some of it himself thinks about how misogynistic one of the guys is being at one point。 However, it’s not one sided。 One of the teachers comes onto Ayanokouji at one point and makes obvious innuendo。 I’m not sure if the point of that was for entertainment or to play into the growing, underlying threat that both the teachers and school atmosphere itself present to the students who have just recently learned the truth。 Also one of the girls after having her true nature and personality revealed uses false accusations of sexual assault to blackmail a male character into keeping her secret and working with her。 One hot headed guy grabs a girl and threatens to hit her after she insults him。 While the hints are there from the start, once the truth comes out school and teachers both feel like very real threats to the students。 I have some problems with the book but the tension between student and school is an interesting one and I can see why this series is so popular。 。。。more

Classroom of the elite is a very epic light novel。 it revolves around a boy named ayanokouji。 He enters a school sponsored by the government。 The school has a ranking and point system。 The point system is money, and there are classes A, B, C, D。 Ayanokoji is in class D, the lowest class。 He then meets a girl named Horikita who has no friends and is very cold。

Before I started this book I expected this too be some edgy high school drama with some pseudo psychological twist sprinkled onto it。 But this book was surprisingly very good and interesting。 The school they are attending is like a social experiment with the students as subjects。。。。 that doesn't really capture the essence but the point is it was better than I expected and really worth reading。 Before I started this book I expected this too be some edgy high school drama with some pseudo psychological twist sprinkled onto it。 But this book was surprisingly very good and interesting。 The school they are attending is like a social experiment with the students as subjects。。。。 that doesn't really capture the essence but the point is it was better than I expected and really worth reading。 。。。more
